Pacquiao offers P500K bounty for arrest of suspects in Dacera rape-slay case

Senator Manny Pacquiao on Tuesday offered to give a monetary reward to anyone who could give information that would lead to the arrest of the at-large suspects in the alleged rape-slay of flight attendant Christine Dacera.

"'Yung mga nakakita, may alam magsalita na. May reward akong P500,000 doon sa makakahuli sa mga gumawa," Pacquiao said in a radio interview.

"Gagawin ko lahat ng aking makakaya para maparusahan ang mga pumatay sa kaniya," he added.

Pacquaio said he personally knows the Dacera family because they also hail from General Santos City, his hometown.

"Kilala ko 'yang Dacera family. 'Yung mga kamag-anak nila kalaro ko palagi sa basketball," he said.

The senator remembered the 23-year-old victim Christine as a dedicated woman and said her death came as a shock to him.

Dacera was found lifeless in the bathtub of a hotel room past noon on New Year’s Day.

She checked into the hotel along with friends for a New Year’s Eve celebration.

The victim’s mother, Sharon, said they were even on video call past 12 a.m. of January 1, hours before Christine was found dead.

Three of the suspects were already nabbed and charged for rape with homicide.

Other suspects were identified as Gregorio Angelo de Guzman, Louie de Lima, Clark Jezreel Rapinan, Rey Englis, Mark Anthony Rosales, Jammyr Cunanan, Valentine Rosales, a certain Ed Madrid, and a certain Paul.

De Guzman, in an interview on GMA News TV's QRT, has denied any role in the crime. He added that he and his companions didn't leave Dacera after she was found lifeless.

"Paano magiging rape? Bakla po ako. Never akong nakipagtalik sa babae,"  he said.—LDF, GMA News
