LRT-2 shortens operating hours on July 25, 2026
LRT Line 2 will close earlier than scheduled on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to make way for track maintenance between V. Mapa and J. Ruiz stations, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced.
The last train departure from Recto Station will be at 8 p.m., while the final trip from Antipolo Station will leave at 7:30 p.m.
Passengers were advised to plan their trips accordingly.
LRT-2's regular last trips depart Antipolo at 9 p.m. and Recto at 9:30 p.m.
To assist affected commuters, the LRTA—in cooperation with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) Road Sector, the Office of the President, the Department of Energy, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and the Philippine Coast Guard—will deploy free shuttle services, including six vans, four buses, and three coaster buses.
These buses will pick up passengers at Recto and Antipolo stations and drop them off at designated LRT-2 stations along the 17.6-kilometer route.
