Dennis Trillo couldn't help but clap back at Gelli de Belen's viral two cents on the resurfaced issue between Jennylyn Mercado and Patrick Garcia.

On Instagram, "Chika Cart" shared Gelli's comment on the issue.

"Hindi kailangang maging ganito kalaki kasi the reason why this was brought up was because nasasaktan 'yung anak ni Patrick," she said.

"Sana 'wag nating kalimutan na may mga batang pinag-uusapan at 'yun naman talaga ang pinaka importante dahil 'yung mga magulang, mga nakakatanda, nakapag-move on na sila sa mga buhay nila. So sana let's show the young ones what is right, what should be done, and not show them all this bad stuff."

In a now-deleted comment, the Kapuso Drama King tagged Gelli and responded to her statement.

"Nananahimik kami... lahat 'yan ay natural na reaksyon ng matinong tao! Pasalamat kayo, dinaan ko na lang sa ganyan. Oo kawawa talaga mga bata, may mga anak din kami! Sisihin mo 'yung nagsimula ng gulo!"

"Chika Cart" released a statement addressing the reactions to the episode.

"We understand that the recent discussion on 'Chika Cart' has drawn different reactions online. The views shared during the conversation were personal opinions expressed as part of an open discussion. 'Chika Cart' does not intend to take sides or disrespect anyone involved."

Patrick is the biological father of Jennylyn's 18-year-old son, Jazz. In his recent "tell-all" interview with Ogie Diaz, he denied that he abandoned the Ultimate Star during her pregnancy. He also said that he last saw Jazz in 2017, which was also the last time he gave child support.

The actor said he broke his silence after 18 years because his 13-year-old daughter, who experienced bashing due to his past, urged him to tell his story.

Jennylyn declined to comment on the issue but asked the public to stop bashing Patrick's family and his daughter.

Meanwhile, Dennis posted his reaction to the interview on social media.

"Hindi ako pabor sa bashing, pero salamat at naalala mo si Jazz dahil sa pag bash sa anak mo," he said on Facebook.

He also took at a shot at Patrick in the latter's resurfaced "Fast Talk" interview but later asked the public to stop the bashing.

Dennis married Jennylyn in 2021. They have a daughter, four-year-old Dylan, and their blended family includes Calix, the actor's 19-year-old son with former girlfriend Carlene Aguilar.
