Marian Rivera, Dennis Trillo honored at Golden Screen Awards 2026
Marian Rivera and Dennis Trillo were among the honorees at the Golden Screen Awards' Dekada Awards 2026, led by the Multimedia Press Society of the Philippines, on Sunday.
According to reports on “Unang Balita" on Monday, the Kapuso Primetime Queen was hailed Best Actress honoree for her work as Teacher Emmy in the award-winning film, “Balota."
Meanwhile, Dennis received two trophies, namely as a two-time Dekada awardee and Best Actor honoree, for his performance in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 Best Picture "Green Bones" and "Felix Manalo."
Marian personally accepted her award and dedicated it to everyone who believed in “Balota” as well as those she worked with.
“May we continue to create stories with courage, heart, and meaning,” Marian said in her acceptance speech in Filipino.
Marian is excited for her upcoming film “Remember,” which she will star in alongside her husband and “The Master Cutter” star Dingdong Dantes.
“More on I’m excited to show what we did because if they liked ‘Rewind,’ ‘Remember’ is on another level,” she said.
Marian and Dingdong flew to Canada this year to film “Remember.” Their film "Rewind" was the first Filipino film to surpass P900 million at the worldwide box office.
Dennis also personally received his trophies at the awarding ceremony and gave a shout-out to his wife, Jennylyn Mercado, in his speech.
"To my number 1 supporter, my partner in life, at home, and in everything happening in my world —Jennylyn Mercado, if you're proud of me, I'm prouder of you," he said in Filipino.
Dennis is set to star in the upcoming Kapuso series "Hari ng Tondo" with Ruru Madrid.
