John Regala discharged from hospital

John Regala has been discharged from the hospital after being confined for several days.

Citing information from columnist Aster Amoyo on Wednesday,  “Unang Balita” reported that Regala went home after eight days of confinement at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI).

Aster also posted photos of Regala on Facebook and expressed his gratitude to all who helped Regala seek medical treatment.

"After eight days of confinement at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), actor John Regala is now homebound,” the columnist wrote.

“Praying that he continues to get better everyday. Many thanks to all those who donated and helped John on his way to recovery," he added.

John Regala went viral the previous week after a netizen shared photos of him alone and looking unwell in Pasay City.

With some help from his ex-wife Aurina Alvarez Manansala-Hunt and other acquaintances, he was able to seek medical treatment at the NKTI.

The actor’s tests showed that he suffered from liver cirrhosis, among other ailments.
