Rufa Mae Quinto on why she returned to the Philippines: ‘Ang dami kong napapaligaya dito’

Rufa Mae Quinto is officially back in the Philippines after spending quite some time as a housewife to her family in the United States.

In an episode of “Updated with Nelson Canlas," Rufa Mae said that among the reasons she decided to come back is, she felt she had more purpose here.

“Ang dami kong napapaligaya dito. Sa US, asawa ko lang,” she said, recalling that she and daughter Athena would just usually stay in a park on most days.

“Maganda naman (ang) mga park doon. Lahat maganda doon. Kumbaga pwede akong magpaligaya,” she added.

Rufa Mae also admitted that she had a hard time connecting with others in English.

“Hindi ako English-speaking, ‘yon ang totoo. Na-off ako. Parang ‘di ako belong,” she said.

In May last year, Rufa Mae expressed how much she missed acting and her career in the Philippines.

She signed with Sparkle GMA Artist Center last April and has since continued making everyone laugh with her humor and wit on television and shows.
