Miguel Tanfelix makes surprise appearance in 'The Master Cutter' pilot episode

The pilot episode of "The Master Cutter" united two generations of Kapuso action stars: Dingdong Dantes and Miguel Tanfelix!

Miguel made a surprise appearance in the opening scene of the series, playing a soldier who goes undercover as one of the armed guards of an Italian-Argentinian arms dealer.

Dingdong, who is also undercover, makes his move when the villain's convoy passes through the sand dunes of Laoag in Ilocos Norte.

A massive gunfight erupts as the military forces engage the enemies, while Dingdong focuses on pursuing the boss. Miguel, for his part, turns on the goons and rejoins his military brothers.

As the battle unfolds, Miguel gets a badass scene facing multiple enemies all alone. He uses one of the discarded vehicles as cover and hides inside, taking out as many enemies as he can.

He eventually gets overrun and calls for backup, and Dingdong comes to his aid. They fight side by side, but when the dust finally settles, Miguel succumbs to his injuries.

"The Master Cutter" made its Netflix premiere on Friday, May 8. You can also watch it on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 11.

Directed by Dominic Zapata, it also stars Max Collins, Sienna Stevens, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, and more.

The series is Dingdong's return to primetime since starring in "Royal Blood" in 2023. The actor plays Atoy, a retired soldier who becomes a tailor and tracker-for-hire.

Miguel, meanwhile, previously starred in Kapuso action series "Mga Batang Riles." He is also known for playing Steve Armstrong in "Voltes V: Legacy." —CDC, GMA News
