Dingdong Dantes maintains no interest in political run
Dingdong Dantes once again clarified that he has no plans to enter politics, saying his work in the entertainment industry remains his priority.
In an interview on “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” Dingdong was asked if he currently has plans to seek public office.
When asked directly if he had political plans, he gave a firm answer.
“Wala po,” he said.
Aside from acting, Dingdong currently serves as chairman of Aktor PH or the League of Filipino Actors.
“It was a collective effort of a group of actors. Pero higit sa lahat, noong conversations po na iyon, doon nangibabaw ‘yung mga hopes,” he said in the same interview.
He added that being part of a supportive community inspired the group’s continued work.
In a January vlog by Janno Gibbs and Bing Loyzaga, Dingdong also said that he has no interest in entering politics.
"Para sa akin, malinaw na ginagawa ko ito for the love of the community (entertainment at actors’ community). All of this comes from my genuine desire to serve. "And I think being in that arena (in politics and public office, to be specific) is something that I do not want."
Dingdong currently stars in “The Master Cutter.”
