Kim Chiu and 'Linda Walker' actress Zhang Yingfei converse in Chinese
Not only did Kim Chiu converse with Linda Walker actress Zhang Yingfei in Chinese on "It's Showtime" Tuesday, the Chinita Princess also sang the birthday song in Chinese for Yingfei, who was celebrating her birthday yesterday.
On "It's Showtime," Kim and Yingfei first talked about their favorite food, with an interpreter letting the Madlang People in on the foodie chismisan between the two celebrities.
Kim giving her recommendation prompted Yingfei to say it was "my favorite" before sending her dancing with excitement.
When Amy Perez informed the viewers it was Yingfei's birthday, she also asked Kim to sing the happy birthday song, which Kim gamely did — also in Chinese.
On Facebook, "It's Showtime" posted the clip of their interaction and said, "Ang galing mo Kimmy!"
The clip has been liked more than 90,000 times, and shared more than 1,000 times as of writing.
Zhang Yingfei is currently in Manila to promote the value of education, as well as to attend the 51st anniversary of Philippines-China Diplomatic relations and Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day.
Before "It's Showtime," she was also on "Unang Hirit," where she said she was "really happy" with her first visit to the country.
Yingfei earlier went viral as Linda Walker on the Chinese vertical drama “The Heiress Who Won with Brains,” which circulated widely on TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other short-video platforms.
