'Linda Walker' star Zhang Yingfei visits Intramuros
Zhang Yingfei was spotted exploring Intramuros, Manila during her visit to the Philippines.
“The Heiress Who Won with Brains” star, known as Linda Walker, went to Intramuros’ most iconic heritage sites through a guided tour, the Intramuros Administration posted on Instagram.
Yingfei visited Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church, and Plaza San Luis Complex, and learned about the country’s rich history, culture, and traditions.
The actress was invited to the country by the Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) to promote the importance of education.
On Wednesday, Yingfei was on "Unang Hirit," where she said she was "really happy" with her first visit to the Philippines.
She also visited “It’s Showtime,” where she was able to speak in Chinese with Kim Chiu. The two talked about their favorite food, and Kim also sang the birthday song in Chinese to Yingfei, who was celebrating her birthday yesterday.
Yingfei rose to popularity in the Philippines through AI-dubbed Tagalog clips of the Chinese vertical drama “The Heiress Who Won with Brains,” which circulated widely on TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other short-video platforms.
The series follows Linda Walker, a young woman who overcomes poverty and hardship through intelligence and determination, themes that resonated strongly with Filipino viewers and sparked online discussions, memes, reaction videos, and motivational posts.
