Amy Austria, Neil Ryan Sese praise Anton Vinzon for performance in 'Kamao'

Amy Austria and Neil Ryan Sese have nothing but praise for Anton Vinzon, the lead star in their sports drama series, “Kamao.”

On “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Wednesday, Neil shared that the young actor is “very professional.”

“Gutom siya na artista eh. Tapos willing siya to learn,” he said.

Neil added that he sees Anton take notes during taping.

“Dun palang, lamang na siya, Tito Boy. Malayo mararating nitong batang ‘to,” he said. “Para siyang sponge, in-a-absorb niya lahat.”

“Andun ‘yung teachable spirit niya,” Amy added.

At the end of the interview, Amy also named Anton among the great artists she considers from the younger generation, along with Julie Anne San Jose and Maris Racal.

"Lalagay ko na diyan si Anton dahil kasi nakikita ko 'yung pursigido 'yung bata," she said.

Kamao” follows Makmak’s (Anton) journey into becoming a top Filipino boxer. Neil plays Nonoy in the series, Makmak's father and a gay boxer. Amy stars as Gloria, Makmak's grandmother.

Its cast also includes Roi Vinzon, Katrina Halili, Wendell Ramos, Bruce Roeland, and Chanty, among others.

The sports drama series airs Mondays to Fridays at 3:20 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
