Baus Rufo is newest 'Unang Hirit' host-mate, jokingly emphasizes 'Kapuso'

It was not, in fact, Baus Rufo's huling hirit!

Following his hilarious fumble during Thursday's "Unang Hirit" broadcast, Baus returned to the morning show on Friday as an official host-mate.

According to UH hosts Lyn Ching and Susan Enriquez, Baus will continue hosting the show for the coming days.

As they read comments from netizens, Lyn told Baus, "Repeat after me, Kapuso."

Baus gamely said, "Kapuso! Kapuso."

They joked that after the live show, he would go straight to report to GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.

"So actually kagabi, bago ako matulog nakita ko na finollow ako ni Miss Annette," Baus said.

"So parang, medyo kinabahan ako, eto na 'yun, ayusin mo na bukas, Kapuso," he added.

According to "Unang Hirit," Baus uttered the word "Kapuso" a total of 34 times on Friday's episode.

On social media Thursday night, Baus posted a screengrab of the notification he received when Gozon-Valdes started following him and said, "lord kunin niyo na po ako."

In the comment section, Gozon-Valdes left crying-laughing emojis, as did Paolo Valenciano and Suzi Abrera.

During his "Unang Hirit" debut on Thursday, Baus mistakenly addressed viewers as "Kapamilya."

Later, he poked fun at his own mistake online, and joked, "'Yung Unang Hirit ko naging first and last episode ko na."

A content creator, Baus is known for hosting the podcast show "Dogshow Divas" alongside Macoy Dubs.

He is also one of the “Celebri-peeps” on the GMA Network game show, “The People Have Spoken.” —JCB, GMA News
