Jennylyn Mercado is nothing short of excited to work anew with Dingdong Dantes for her special appearance in "The Master Cutter."

According Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Thursday, almost six years have passed since Jennylyn and Dingdong last worked together in "Descendants of the Sun."

"Hindi ko pa sya nakakaeksena kasi second day ko pa lang, pero syempre looking forward na makatrabho ulit siya after ilang taon," shared Jennylyn.

The Kapuso actress also teased viewers about her role in the series.

"Isa siyang bungangera na babae na nag-s-struggle sa buhay pero may malaking puso. May mga ilan-ilang action scenes pero medyo nakakatawa," she said.

While Jennylyn has not filmed any scenes with Dingdong yet, she has already shared some scenes with Kapuso child actress Sienna Stevens, who plays Ibyang in the series.

"Sobrang galing ng batang 'yan, wala akong masabi. Tuwing matatapos 'yung eksena sa sobrang awa ko sa kaniya niyayakap ko talaga, kasi ang galing-galing, 'yung talagang dalang-dala ako sa kaniya," she praised.

"The Master Cutter" is Dingdong's return to primetime since starring in "Royal Blood" in 2023. It follows the story of Atoy, a retired soldier who becomes a tailor and tracker-for-hire.

The series also stars Max Collins, Rio Locsin, Paolo Contis, Joey Marquez, Polo Ravales, Anthony Constantino, Shuvee Etrata, Charlie Fleming, and more. shuv

It airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix.
