'Born to Shine' cast, fans gather for album launch
The cast of "Born to Shine" gave fans special performances at the launch of their second album, "Ikaw ang Dahilan," in Muntinlupa City on Saturday.
YuMates and Kapuso viewers watched the girl group Yumi, composed of Zephanie, Olive May, Mitzi Josh, Gaea Mischa, and Naya Ambi, light up the stage with their vocals and dancing.
In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Zephanie said they are so grateful for the support.
"Sobrang puno po talaga kami ng pasasalamat, hindi lang sa taong sumusuporta pero sa lahat taong nasa likod din ng 'Born to Shine' na nagtiwala at nag-open ng doors para sa 'ming lahat," the actress-singer said. "We're just really happy. Na-enjoy po namin lahat ng 'to."
Michael Sager, who plays Nate in the series, also serenaded the fans. He said that he is excited for their second album as the songs fit their characters in the series.
"Ako naman, favorite ko talaga 'yung recent song ko, 'Paano Ko Ba Sasabihin.' I feel like it's a song that the Gen Zs or everybody could relate to. Something about telling your feelings na hindi mo alam paano siya sasabihin 'di ba," he said.
Olive and Kobie Brown also provided kilig moments with a duet, while OG Divas Roselle Nava, Tina Paner, Manilyn Reynes, and Vina Morales also performed.
Migs Cuaderno, Ralph Miaco, AJ Oteyza, Dang Cruz, and Smokey Manaloto were also present at the event. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
