Anton Vinzon, Therese Malvar of 'Kamao' to have crossover in 'Born to Shine'

Anton Vinzon and Therese Malvar’s characters in “Kamao” will have a crossover in “Born to Shine!”

According to Athena Imperial’s report on “24 Oras” on Monday, the “Kamao” stars will be meeting the fictional girl group, Yumi.

“Kasi syempre, ‘yung Yumi meron silang mga supporters, mga YuMates. So sino kaya? ‘Di natin alam kung YuMates ba siya or hindi,” Zephanie said.

The actress added that she felt surprised but also kilig at the crossover. She also added that she and Anton talked about the crossover behind the scenes on “All Out Sundays" before it was confirmed.

“Nandun ‘yung mas kinikilig na feeling na makakasama ko pa rin siya sa work, sa show na ‘to kasi sa ‘Batang Riles’ kasama ko po siya and even sa ‘Maka,’ so lahat na ba?” Zephanie said.

Anton added that he felt surprised because he was not expecting a crossover.

“Sabi ko nga kay Zeph, sana magkaroon din tayo, and wini-wish niya rin. And ayun, natupad po namin ‘yung nangyari,” he said.

The actors said they are proud of each other, after coming from “Maka” and now to having lead roles in series.

“I’m just really happy rin po for her na nagkaroon siya ng lead role, and nagkaroon din ako ng lead role,” Anton said.

“Nakakatuwa na makita talaga na nag-flourish po lahat,” Zephanie also shared.

“Ang astig lang po talaga ng feeling and hopefully mas madami pa kaming ma-experience na ganun, na hindi lang P-Pop groups ‘yung maging guest,” she added.

Meanwhile, Therese also enjoyed the new atmosphere on a different set.

“Sobrang naninibago po kami ni Anton kasi first time namin na bumisita sa isa pang teleserye,” she said.

“Sabi nga namin nung na-meet namin ‘yung Yumi parang wow, para tayong nasa ibang mundo kasi iba ‘yung outfit nila, iba ‘yung galaw nila, tas kami parang mga nasa kalye-kalye lang, sobrang nakakapanibago,” she added.

“Born to Shine” airs on GMA Afternoon Prime from Monday to Saturday at 2:30 p.m., while “Kamao” is at 3:15 p.m. —Nika Roque/CDC, GMA News
