Katseye's Sophia to skip Hinterland Music Festival due to illness
Katseye’s Sophia will not be performing at the Hinterland Music Festival due to illness.
On Weverse, the group’s community manager said the Filipina member is resting and focusing on her recovery.
“We're sorry to share that due to illness, Sophia will not be able to perform at the Hinterland Music Festival on Thursday, July 30,” the statement read.
Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae will perform at the festival for the group.
“Thank you for your understanding and for supporting Sophia and KATSEYE,” it added.
The music festival is set to take place in Iowa, United States, with Katseye scheduled to perform on July 30 at 10 p.m. local time (11 a.m. on July 31 in the Philippines).
Other headliners for this year's Hinterland Music Festival include Lorde, Mumford & Sons, and Kali Uchis.
Katseye debuted in 2023 with six members and visited Manila in 2024 for a fan showcase, appearances, and collabs.
In February, Manon went on hiatus, and two months later, she removed Katseye from her Instagram bio but said she remains in positive communication with Hybe and Geffen.
Katseye is known for their songs “Gabriela,” “Gnarly,” “Gameboy,” "Touch," and "Debut.”
