Dennis Trillo says comparisons to Jonathan Bailey are 'flattering'

Dennis Trillo is taking comparisons to “Bridgerton” star Jonathan Bailey as a compliment.

In an interview with GMA News Online, the Kapuso drama King acknowledged fans’ comments likening him to the British actor known for his portrayal as Anthony Bridgerton in the Netflix period drama.

According to Dennis, he feels honored by the comparisons, especially since they come with praise for both his looks and acting.

“Well, of course, that's a compliment. It's really flattering most of the time,” he said in Filipino.

Dennis added that being compared to a Hollywood star as accomplished as Jonathan makes the compliment even more meaningful.

“I mean, you're being compared to someone from Hollywood. And not just any Hollywood actor, but a handsome, talented actor who can dance, sing, and really perform. He's an all-out performer, right? So it's nice, it's really nice, to be compared to someone like that. It's flattering,” he continued.

Jonathan also starred in “Jurassic World: Rebirth” with Scarlett Johansson, as well as “Wicked” as Fiyero.

In 2025, he was named “sexiest man alive” by People magazine.

Meanwhile, Dennis renewed his contract with GMA Network on Tuesday.

He is set to star in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Amir” and in the series “Hari ng Tondo," which also stars Ruru Madrid. — LA, GMA News
