Ivan Anisimov tops Tour of Luzon Stage 5; Shulchenko keeps overall lead in individual general classification

Ivan Anisimov of LCW UAE Cycle ruled Stage 5 of the Tour of Luzon on Sunday, securing his second stage win of the race.

A day after ruling the fourth stage, Anisimov clocked 2:47:26 in the 130.6-kilometer road race that stretched from Santiago City to Tuguegarao City.

Ryan Tugawin of Excellent Noodles Cycling Team and Jung Hoon Lee of Seoul Cycling Team completed the podium.

Meanwhile, LCW’s Nikita Shulchenko held on to the top spot in the individual general classification with a cumulative time of 13:46:45.

He is followed by teammate and Stage 1 winner Yousef Ibrahim Alrefai and Emmanuel Dave Montemayor of Go for Gold Philippines.

Stage 6 of the race will cover 228.8 kilometers stretching from Tuguegarao to Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte.
