Alex Eala at the Berlin Tennis Open: Ranking points and prize money
Alexandra “Alex” Eala wrapped up her impressive campaign at the Berlin Tennis Open on Sunday (Philippine time) after a semifinal loss to Linda Noskova, 6-2, 6-4.
On her way to the final four, Eala scored back-to-back victories over top-10 players Elena Rybakina and Elina Svitolina after opening her run with a win against reigning Queen’s Club champion Donna Vekic.
Thanks to her semifinal finish in the WTA 500 event, Eala earned 195 ranking points, a result expected to boost her career ranking.
The 20-year-old Filipina also pocketed €57,395 in prize money for reaching the semifinals.
Eala is expected to return to action at the Bad Homburg Open as she continues her preparations for Wimbledon.
