Alas Pilipinas Women fall to Thailand in SEA V Cup Leg 2 opener

Alas Pilipinas Women opened their campaign in the second leg of the SEA V Cup with a straight-set loss to host Thailand, 25-19, 25-17, 25-19, on Friday in Chiang Mai.

No Filipino player finished in double figures, with Nina Ytang leading the team with eight points, while Alyssa Solomon chipped in six in the defeat.

Janthawisut Sasipapron paced Thailand with 10 points built on eight attacks, one block, and one ace. Pimpichaya Kokram also contributed 10 points in the victory.

The Philippines remains winless in this year's SEA V Cup after also going 0-3 during the first leg in Vietnam.

Alas Pilipinas will look to bounce back against Vietnam on Saturday.
