Malacañang has declared June 24, 2026 a special non-working day in Manila City in line with the celebration of its 455th founding anniversary.
Under Proclamation No. 1320, it was pointed out that it would be “fitting and proper that the people of the City of Manila be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.”
Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto signed the proclamation in Manila on June 16, 2026, by the authority of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. —VAL, GMA News
