Over 3K people in Novaliches, QC get 10-kg rice under Liza Marcos' program

First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos on Friday led the distribution of 10 kilos of rice to 3,300 beneficiaries in Novaliches, Quezon City.

The Novaliches leg concluded the five-day rice distribution under the First Lady’s “Mula sa Puso Para sa Pamilya” initiative.

The event, held at a district center inside Barangay Sta. Monica, also featured raffle draws where winners got additional sacks of rice, rice cookers, and a television set.

The First Lady’s program seeks to ease the burden on vulnerable families while promoting the purchase of rice from local farmers by distributing 10 kilos of quality rice to select beneficiaries.

Earlier this week, Marcos also led the rice distribution in Barangay 377 in Sta. Cruz, Manila; Barangay Doña Imelda in Quezon City; Barangay 72 in Tondo, Manila; and Barangay Bagong Pag-asa in Quezon City. —Giselle Ombay/LDF, GMA News
