Robredo: I won’t let false accusations slide anymore

Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday said she would no longer be tight-lipped regarding false allegations hurled against her by some critics.

"Late last year o middle of last year talagang sinabi ko sa staff na mula ngayon, hindi ko papalampasin lahat ng kasinungalingan," Robredo said in an interview on GMA News' Unang Balita.

Last week, Robredo slammed Deputy Executive Director Mocha Uson of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration for allegedly spreading fake news about the Office of the Vice President's donations to the victims of the Taal Volcano eruption.

Uson shared on her Facebook page with 5.7 million followers a netizen's comment on a photo of Robredo during a relief operation in Batangas.

The comment claims that Robredo's office only donated one bottled water and five pieces of pandesal to each evacuee.

Uson later on clarified that her criticism was not about the pandesal but about Robredo's supposed hunger for media mileage during her aid-giving activities.

— RSJ, GMA News
