Kapuso Tulay in CamSur rehabilitated after Typhoon Uwan

A Kapuso Tulay Para sa Kaunlaran built by the GMA Kapuso Foundation in Buhi, Camarines Sur was rehabilitated after it was affected by Typhoon Uwan in November 2025.

According to "24 Oras" on Monday, the bridge was built in 2017 after students were seen using a makeshift cable bridge.

The 30-meter steel hanging bridge was immediately strengthened so students will have a safe route on the way to their schools.

"Pinalitan natin ng mas makapal kasi rusted na at butas-butas na 'yung flooring," GMA Kapuso Foundation Supervising Engineer Arnel Zantua said.

Zantua said that more cables were added.

"Meron tayong pagkakataon para ma-rehabilitate so natutuwa naman ako dahil hopefully, with the help in maintenance of the LGU, ay ilang dekada pa ang itatagal ng ating mga Kapuso Tulay Para sa Kaunlaran," Rikki Escudero-Catibog, GMA Kapuso Foundation EVP and COO said.

A student who uses the Kapuso Tulay said that it was a big help in the daily lives of residents, especially to the youth like her.
