Parts of PH to experience isolated rain showers due to easterlies

The easterlies are expected to prevail in Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Tuesday afternoon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be observed in Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, the Visayas, and Mindanao due to the easterlies, the state weather bureau said in its 4 p.m. weather forecast.

The same weather conditions will persist throughout the rest of Luzon due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides.

According to state meteorologists, the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience moderate wind and coastal water conditions.

Winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.
