Easterlies bring rains across parts of PH — PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday that easterlies will continue to affect much of the country, bringing cloudy skies and rain in several areas.
In its 4:00 a.m. forecast, PAGASA said the Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Sorsogon, Masbate, Palawan, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Basilan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
The state weather bureau warned of possible flash floods and landslides in affected areas due to moderate to occasionally heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also caused by the easterlies.
Flash floods or landslides remain possible during severe thunderstorms.
The maximum temperature on Saturday at the PAGASA Science Garden station in Diliman, Quezon City, reached 35.3 degrees Celsius at 3:00 p.m., while the minimum was recorded at 25.0 degrees Celsius at 5:00 a.m.
Sunrise was at 5:33 a.m., while sunset is expected at 6:13 p.m.—MCG, GMA News
