Tropical Storm Domeng trough, southwesterly windflow to bring rain over Visayas, Mindanao
Trough of Tropical Storm Domeng and southwesterly windflow will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of Visayas and Mindanao on Friday, PAGASA reported.
At 3 a.m., the center of Tropical Storm Domeng was estimated at 1,360 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 90 km/h.
Domeng is moving Northwestward at the speed of 20 km/h.
Forecast Weather Conditions
Eastern Visayas and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Trough of Tropical Storm Domeng. PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Lanao del Norte and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwesterly Windflow. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms while flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions
The wind speed forecast for the Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan is light to moderate moving in the southwest to west direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northwest to west direction and slight to moderate coastal waters.
