Habagat to bring rains over Northern and Central Luzon
The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat is expected to bring rains over Northern and Central Luzon, the state weather bureau said Saturday.
In the 4 p.m. forecast of PAGASA, the habagat may bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Pampanga, Bataan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, and Batangas.
The habagat may also bring occasional rains over the Ilocos Region and Zambales.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country is expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought by localized thunderstorms.
Affected areas of the habagat and localized thunderstorms may experience possible flash floods or landslides.
Moderate to strong winds are expected in Northern Luzon, with moderate to strong waters with waves running from 1.2 meters to 2.8 meters.
Light to moderate winds are in the rest of the country, with light to moderate waters with waves running from 0.6 meters to 1.8 meters.
At the PAGASA Science Garden weather station in Diliman, Quezon City, the highest temperature recorded on Saturday reached 29.2 degrees Celsius at 2 p.m., while the lowest temperature was logged at 25.3 degrees Celsius at 5:00 a.m.
