Cloudy skies, rains forecast in different parts of PH due to easterlies

Cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected to drench different parts of the country as a result of the easterlies affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said on Monday.

In its 4 a.m. public weather forecast, PAGASA said Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as well because of localized thunderstorms.

The state weather bureau said flash floods or landslides are possible in these areas during severe thunderstorms.

There are no low pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.

Meanwhile, the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
