Cloudy skies, isolated rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas — PAGASA

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas on Saturday, PAGASA reported.

The tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), Super Typhoon Bavi, is 2,985 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas with maximum sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 240 km/h, and moving westward at the speed of 15 km/h.

Forecast Weather Conditions

Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Aurora, Quezon, and Dinagat Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorm with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

The wind speed forecast for the eastern section of Luzon is light to moderate and moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate and moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Visayas and the eastern section of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to west direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
