The easterlies will continue to affect the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas on Monday, July 6, the state weather bureau said on Sunday.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned residents in areas affected by the easterlies and localized thunderstorms to remain alert for possible flash floods or landslides.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters, with waves ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 metres, are expected over the eastern section of Southern Luzon and the rest of Luzon.

In the Visayas and in both the eastern section and the rest of Mindanao, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters with waves ranging from 0.6 to 1.2 metres are forecast.

At the PAGASA Science Garden weather station in Diliman, Quezon City, the highest temperature recorded on Sunday was 33.3 degrees Celsius at 1 p.m., while the lowest was 25.0 degrees Celsius at 5 a.m.
