Super Typhoon Inday enters PAR, Signal No. 1 over seven areas — PAGASA
Super Typhoon Inday is now inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) with seven areas under Signal No. 1, according to the Tropical Cyclone Bulletin posted by PAGASA.
The center of the eye of Super Typhoon Inday was estimated at 1,405 kilometers east of Northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 230 km/h, and central pressure of 930 hPa.
Inday is moving westward at the speed of 25 km/h with strong to typhoon-force winds extend outwards up to 900 km from the center.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 is in effect over the following areas:
Luzon
- Batanes
- Cagayan including Babuyan Islands
- the northern and central portions of Isabela (Santo Tomas, Aurora, Santa Maria, Quezon, San Mariano, Naguilian, Dinapigue, Roxas, Luna, Delfin Albano, City of Cauayan, San Pablo, Ilagan City, Benito Soliven, Tumauini, Cabagan, Reina Mercedes, San Manuel, Palanan, Cabatuan, Quirino, Divilacan, Gamu, Mallig, Maconacon, Burgos, San Guillermo, Angadanan, Alicia, San Mateo)
- Apayao
- the eastern portion of Kalinga (Pinukpuk, City of Tabuk, Rizal)
- the northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag)
- the northern and central portions of Catanduanes (Pandan, Caramoran, Bagamanoc, Panganiban, Viga, Gigmoto, Baras, San Miguel)

Severe Winds
Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1 while the highest Wind Signal that may be hoisted throughout Inday’s passage is Wind Signal No. 2 or 3.
The enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of Super Typhoon Inday will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas, especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds: Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, CALABARZON, most of MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, most of Visayas, and most of Mindanao.
Hazards affecting coastal watersA Gale Warning will be issued today over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon and Visayas.
Sea travel is risky for all types or tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside.
Track and Intensity Outlook
Super Typhoon Inday has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is forecast to move generally westward over the next 24 hours and will then turn northwestward while remaining over the Philippine Sea and may be nearest to Extreme Northern Luzon by Friday July 10, 2026 before heading towards the southern islands of Japan and the sea north of Taiwan.
Inday is forecast to exit the PAR by Saturday, July 11 and make landfall over the eastern coast of mainland China by Sunday, July 12.
"Inday will maintain its strength as a super typhoon until tomorrow (09 July), and will downgrade into a typhoon by tomorrow afternoon or evening. Afterwards, it will gradually weaken. Nevertheless, it will likely remain a typhoon throughout the remaining forecast period," PAGASA reported. — BAP, GMA News
