LPA east of Eastern Samar to bring rains — PAGASA

A low pressure area (LPA) was spotted 310 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar, as of 3 p.m. Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 4 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the LPA is forecast to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Catanduanes, Masbate, Albay, and Sorsogon on Wednesday, July 29.

The easterlies, meanwhile, will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the rest of the Bicol Region, while Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Localized thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila and the rest of the country, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are expected across the country.

Wave heights will range from 0.6 to 1.8 meters along the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, as well as the rest of Luzon. Waves ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 meters are expected over the rest of the country.

At the PAGASA Science Garden in Diliman, Quezon City, the highest temperature recorded on Tuesday was 31.9 degrees Celsius at 1 p.m., while the lowest was 24.7 degrees Celsius at 5 a.m.
