RAINFALL ALERT: Orange in Metro Manila, 6 areas (Friday, 11 am)

An Orange Rainfall Warning has been raised in Metro Manila and 6 nearby provinces on Friday.

PAGASA placed the following areas under Orange and Yellow warnings in its 11 a.m. advisory:

Orange Rainfall Warning (Flooding is still threatening)

• Zambales
• Bataan
• Metro Manila
• Pampanga (Lubao, Sasmuan, Macabebe, Masantol, Floridablanca)
• Bulacan (Hagonoy, Calumpit, Paombong, Malolos, Bulakan, Obando, Meycauayan, Marilao, Bocaue, Balagtas, Guiguinto)
• Cavite (Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, Cavite City, General Trias, Rosario, Tanza, Naic, Trece Martires, Ternate, Maragondon, Magallanes, General Emilio Aguinaldo)
• Batangas (Lian, Tuy, Balayan, Nasugbu, Calatagan, Calaca)

Yellow Rainfall Warning (Flooding in flood-prone areas)

• Tarlac
• Pampanga (Apalit, Arayat, Bacolor, Candaba, San Fernando, Magalang, Mexico, Minalin, San Luis, San Simon, Santa Ana, Santo Tomas, Angeles, Mabalacat, Guagua, Porac, Santa Rita)
• Cavite (Alfonso, Amadeo, Indang, Mendez, Silang, Tagaytay, Carmona, Dasmarinas, Gen. Mariano Alvarez)
• Laguna (San Pedro, Biñan, Santa Rosa)
• Rizal (Antipolo, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Tanay, Angono, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Morong, Taytay, Teresa, Baras)
• Bulacan (Angat, Baliuag, Bustos, San Jose del Monte, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray, Pandi, Plaridel, Pulilan, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, San Rafael, Santa Maria)

PAGASA said light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are also expected within the next three hours over the following areas:

• Quezon
• Nueva Ecija
• Batangas (Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Laurel, Lemery, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Talisay, Taysan, Tingloy)
• Rizal(Pililla, Jala-Jala)

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain with occasional heavy rain is forecast to affect Laguna (Victoria, Pila, Santa Cruz, Liliw, Magdalena, Pagsanjan, Nagcarlan, Luisiana, Majayjay), which may persist for three hours and affect nearby areas.

Several areas have suspended classes on Friday due to the bad weather.

PAGASA advised the public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned to monitor the weather conditions.
