RAINFALL ALERT: Orange in Bataan, Zambales; Yellow in Metro Manila, 6 areas (Friday, 5 pm)

RAINFALL ALERT: Orange in Bataan, Zambales; Yellow in Metro Manila, 6 areas (Friday, 5 pm)

An orange rainfall warning remains in effect in areas of Bataan and Zambales, while a yellow rainfall warning is still up in Metro Manila and six other areas on the afternoon of Friday, August 14, 2026.

PAGASA placed the following areas under Orange and Yellow warnings in its 5 p.m. advisory:

Orange Rainfall Warning (Flooding is still threatening)

  • Bataan (Bagac, Mariveles, Morong, Limay, Orion, Pilar, Balanga)
  • Zambales (San Antonio, Subic, Olongapo)

Yellow Rainfall Warning (Flooding in flood-prone areas)

  • Metro Manila
  • Zambales (Botolan, San Marcelino, Cabangan, Candelaria, Iba, Masinloc, Palauig, Santa Cruz, Castillejos, San Felipe, San Narciso)
  • Bataan (Abucay, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Orani, Samal)
  • Pampanga (Floridablanca, Lubao, Sasmuan, Macabebe, Masantol, Guagua, Minalin, Apalit, Santa Rita, Santo Tomas, San Simon, Bacolor, San Fernando)
  • Bulacan (Calumpit, Hagonoy, Paombong, Bulakan, Malolos, Obando, Meycauayan, Marilao, Bocaue, Balagtas, Guiguinto, Pulilan, Plaridel, San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria, Pandi, Bustos, Baliuag)
  • Cavite (Ternate, Maragondon, Naic, Tanza, Rosario, Cavite City, Noveleta, Bacoor, Kawit, Imus, General Trias) and Batangas(Nasugbu, Lian)

PAGASA said light to moderate rains are expected within the next three hours over the following areas:

  • Nueva Ecija
  • Quezon
  • Laguna
  • Tarlac
  • Cavite (Dasmarinas, Carmona, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Silang, Amadeo, Trece Martires, Indang, Tagaytay, Mendez, Alfonso, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes)
  • Batangas (Balayan, Tuy, Calatagan, Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Calaca, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Laurel, Lemery, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Talisay, Taysan, Tingloy)

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are forecast to affect:

  • Rizal (Antipolo, Rodriguez, San Mateo, Angono, Baras, Binangonan, Cainta, Cardona, Morong, Taytay, Teresa),
  • Bulacan (Angat, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, San Rafael),
  • Pampanga (Arayat, Candaba, Magalang, Mexico, San Luis, Santa Ana, Angeles, Mabalacat, Porac)
  • and nearby areas.

Several areas have suspended classes on Friday due to the bad weather.

Malacañang also directed government offices in the National Capital Region and nearby areas to shift to alternative work arrangements, amid the effects of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

PAGASA advised the public and concerned Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices to monitor the weather conditions.
