Thunderstorms more likely over Metro Manila, nearby areas in next 12 hours

Thunderstorms are more likely to develop over the Greater Metro Manila Area within the next 12 hours, the state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday morning.

In its thunderstorm watch issued at 10 a.m., PAGASA said the affected areas include:

• Metro Manila,
• Bulacan,
• Rizal,
• Laguna, and
• Cavite.

PAGASA advised the public to continue monitoring weather updates.

Earlier in the day, PAGASA said heavy rains are expected over parts of Luzon on Friday as the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continues to affect the region.

In its 24-hour public weather forecast, PAGASA said Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Abra, Batanes, and Cagayan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.—AOL, GMA News
