3 tropical cyclones monitored outside PAR — PAGASA

Three tropical cyclones, all outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), are monitored by the state weather bureau, PAGASA.

As of 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026, the Tropical Depression with international name "Gaenari" (formerly "Neneng") that is 525 kilometers north northwest of Itbayat, Batanes packing maximum winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and moving at the speed of 15 km/h.

The Tropical Depression (formerly LPA 08h) is located at 1,295 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon, maximum winds of 55 km/h, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and moving slowly in the northeast direction.

Meanwhile, the typhoon with international name "Saudel" is located at 1,835 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, maximum winds of 165 km/h, gustiness of up to 205 km/h is moving in the west northwest direction at the speed of 30 km/h.
