Bulacan massacre victims laid to rest day after Duterte wake visit

The five victims of the June 27 massacre in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan were laid to rest on Wednesday afternoon, according to GMA News reporter Mariz Umali.

Auring Dizon, 58; wife Estrella Dizon, 28; and children Donnie, 11; Ella, 7 and Dexter Jr. were taken to the Citrus Public Cemetery after a requiem mass at the St. Joseph Church, where widowed father Dexter Carlos grieved their deaths.

Carlos witnessed his family being sealed away a week after he found them lifeless at their home in North Ridge Royal Subdivision.

Though grieving and lost, he said the quest for justice for his family will keep him going for now.

President Rodrigo Duterte and PNP Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa paid their respects to the Carlos family on Tuesday and promised the widower that police will help resolve the crime.
