Bretman Rock looks back on Vogue Philippines Pride Month cover: 'I really made herstory'

As June arrives, Bretman Rock looks back on becoming the first cover star of Vogue Philippines’ Pride Month issue in 2023.

On Instagram, the baddest content creator posted photos and videos from the magazine shoot at a studio and at the beach.

“Not to toot my own horn but wow I really made herstory,” Bretman said in his Instagram caption.

“I’ve met some of the most wonderful Filipino people I will ever know and I will never forget this experience forever,” he added.

Bretman also said that he really wants to go back to the Philippines soon.

“Now I WANNA GO BACK HOOOOMME. Please I’m begging,” he added.

Bretman was the first gay man to appear on Vogue Philippines’ cover, and cried out of joy when he saw the magazine.

He was last in the Philippines in August for a belated birthday celebration in Palawan. The internet star was able to try out fire dancing at the beach, was memorably stung by a stingray, and ate tamilok. He also attended the Vogue Philippines anniversary gala and served morena beauty.

Bretman celebrated his eighth year in social media last January. He previously honored his past self, and said he is “proud of that little brown boy” and that his success “is all because of a little Filipino bakla.”
