SB19 meets Japanese group Generations, dances 'Lawless' with Starglow's Taiki
SB19 is making more connections with Japanese artists following their stint in Summer Sonic.
The P-pop Kings met Japanese group Generations, who performed after them in the Pacific Stage in Tokyo on Saturday. Among its members is Alan Shirahama, whose mother is Filipino.
Alan and Yuta also did the "Lawless" dance challenge with Stell, Ken, and Justin.
In Osaka, SB19's Pablo, Stell, and Josh danced "Lawless" with Taiki, a member of Japanese group Starglow.
Generations is known for "Hard Knock Days," one of the opening themes of "One Piece." Their other songs include "Love You More," "One in a Million," and "Brand New Story."
Meanwhile, Starglow's songs include "Moonchaser," "Starwish," and "Green Light."
During their set in Tokyo, SB19 brought out a surprise guest: Kento Nakajima. The Filipino-Japanese artist performed his own rap verse in "GENTO" and also sang Tagalog lines from the song.
Aside from collaboration stages and TikToks, SB19 teamed up with Japanese group Be:First in their song "Toyfriend." The toy-themed music video was released a few days before Summer Sonic.
Last year, SB19 also met with several Japanese acts during the Tokyo stop of their Simula at Wakas world tour.
SB19 is set to hold their I WaS There thanksgiving fan meet at the KT Zepp Yokohama on Tuesday. An SB19-themed vending machine was setup at the Yokohama Station on Monday in celebration of the fan meet.
Last month, SB19 made history as the first Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza, one of the world's biggest music festivals.
