Liza Soberano, H.E.R. spotlight the Filipino experience in 'BRB' music video

Liza Soberano and H.E.R. are two Filipino besties enjoying the Philippine experience in the music video for "BRB."

The song is part of the soundtrack for the upcoming animated film "Forgotten Island," which is inspired by Filipino culture and mythology.

The music video takes viewers through Manila streets and homes, with clips featuring the most Pinoy things, like the walis tambo, sari-sari stores, street food like fishball and kikiam, and aspins.

The singers are also shown riding a jeep, with Liza cooling herself with a pamaypay. They also play basketball with kids in the streets, and mahjong with some aunties.

The MV also shows vendors chopping buko and serving taho, and families playing cards and enjoying traditional dishes like sigang.

"Forgotten Island" is set to open in cinemas nationwide on September 23.

It follows two childhood best friends, Raissa (Liza) and Jo (H.E.R.), as they try to find their way home after ending up on a mysterious island.

Aside from Liza and H.E.R., the movie also stars Lea Salonga, Dave Franco, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, Manny Jacinto, Jenny Slate, and Ronny Chieng.

The soundtrack of "Forgotten Island" includes songs by BINI, SB19, Sophia Laforteza of Katseye, Lea, Liza, H.E.R., and many more. —JCB, GMA News
