Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu call for kindness following acceptance speech mishap

Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu addressed the reactions of some fans after the former forgot to mention the latter during her acceptance speech at the FAMAS Broadcast Awards on Monday.

The comedienne, who went up the stage for the second time to receive her trophy for Best Entertainment Host, named her "It's Showtime" co-hosts one by one and shared her win with them.

However, she missed Kim in her message, which did not sit well with some of the actress' fans.

On Tuesday, Vice Ganda called out some fans on X for their "toxicity," "entitlement," and "ka-cheapan." She also tagged Kim in her posts.

Kim spoke up for her fans in a post, but she did not tag Vice Ganda.

Initial reaction po [siguro] ito," the actress said.

Meanwhile, Vice shared a message for her own fanbase, the Little Ponies.

Ipinagpapasalamat ko ang suporta n'yo but I will not enable your toxic behavior just because I seek [your] support," she said. "I love you my mature and thinking Little Ponies!"

Vice also clarified that she and Kim were not fighting and were messaging each other as friends.

"It's Showtime" airs Mondays to Saturdays on GMA Network at 12 p.m. It is also available on YouTube via the Kapuso Stream. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
