Alex Eala teams up with Nikola Bartunkova for Wimbledon doubles

Alexandra "Alex" Eala will also compete in the Wimbledon women's doubles tournament, teaming up with Czech Republic's Nikola Bartunkova.

The pair will face Latvia's Jelena Ostapenko and American Sofia Kenin in the first round of the doubles competition, which is scheduled to begin next week.

Eala and Bartunkova are familiar with each other's games after facing off in the WTA 125 Birmingham Open finals earlier this month, where the Filipina rallied for a 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 victory to claim the title.

They also partnered in the doubles event in Birmingham but bowed to Harriet Dart and Maia Lumsden, 6-4, 2-6, 11-9 in the first round.

In the singles draw at Wimbledon, Eala will begin her campaign against Mexico's Renata Zarazua.
