Alexandra "Alex" Eala has enjoyed a breakthrough 2026 campaign, reaching new milestones highlighted by capturing her first WTA Tour singles title at the DC Open.

Even before her title run in Washington, Eala had already turned heads with a memorable grass-court season.

She reached the fourth round of Wimbledon, earning impressive victories over Iga Swiatek and Maya Joint, and scored wins against Top 10 players Elena Rybakina and Elina Svitolina at the Berlin Tennis Open.
