Motorcycle riders and campers have returned to the hills of Tanay, Rizal, after weeks of rain brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

They took advantage of the better weather and the holiday on Ninoy Aquino Day.

"Day off po ngayon. Holiday!" one rider said to the cheer of his friends.

According to JP Soriano's report on "24 Oras," riders again went up to Tanay via the winding Marilque Highway, sipping coffee and eating specialty viands before continuing their ride.

Campers also pitched their tents and savored the cold weather.

The Decena family was initially scheduled to go camping last weekend, but the Habagat rains kept them.

"Nagpalipas muna kami ng araw. Bad weather, e," Angelo said.

"Sana 'wag nang umulan," Dang added.

The Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, is expected to affect the weather conditions of Northern and Central Luzon on Saturday.

In PAGASA's 4 p.m. bulletin, the Habagat was forecast to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Batanes, and Cagayan.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms were likely over Metro Manila and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and CALABARZON.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country was expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. –NB, GMA News
