47 areas to experience 'dry condition' by end of November, says PAGASA

At least 47 areas across the country are expected to experience dry conditions by the end of November amid the presence of El Niño conditions in the tropical Pacific, PAGASA said Monday.

According to the state weather bureau’s outlook, the following areas may experience dry condition or a 21% to 60% reduction in rainwater for two consecutive months:

Luzon

  • Abra
  • Albay
  • Apayao
  • Aurora
  • Bataan
  • Batangas
  • Benguet
  • Bulacan
  • Camarines Norte
  • Catanduanes
  • Cavite
  • Ifugao
  • Ilocos Norte
  • Ilocos Sur
  • Isabela
  • Kalinga
  • La Union
  • Laguna
  • Marinduque
  • Masbate
  • Metro Manila
  • Mountain Province
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Occidental Mindoro
  • Oriental Mindoro
  • Palawan (Kalayaan)
  • Pampanga
  • Pangasisnan
  • Quezon
  • Quirino
  • Rizal
  • Romblon
  • Sorsogon
  • Tarlac
  • Zambales

Visayas

  • Aklan
  • Antique
  • Biliran
  • Eastern Samar
  • Guimaras
  • Iloilo
  • Northern Samar
  • Samar (Western Samar)
  • Southern Leyte

Mindanao

Meanwhile, only Camarines Sur is expected to experience a dry spell or the 21% to 60% reduction in rainwater for three months, or more than 60% reduction for two months.

According to PAGASA, no areas are expected to experience drought.

This outlook is based on the December 2025-May 31, 2026 observed rainfall and the June-November 2026 Forecast rainfall.

The forecast is presented by PAGASA during a press conference in observance of Typhoon and Flood Awareness Week (TFAW).
