Alex Eala at the Canadian Open: Schedule and draw

Alexandra "Alex" Eala returns to action on Wednesday (Thursday, Philippine time) at the Canadian Open (National Bank Open), just days after capturing her first WTA singles title.

The Canadian Open is a WTA 1000 event, with the champion earning 1000 ranking points. The tournament also features more players, and Eala received a first-round bye, advancing directly to the Round of 64.

She will face Alycia Parks in her opening singles match.

Eala will also compete in the doubles event, where she will team up once again with tennis legend Venus Williams.
