Alex Eala at Wimbledon: Ranking points and prize money
Alexandra Eala capped off a historic campaign at the 2026 Wimbledon by becoming the first Filipina to reach the Round of 16 at the grass-court Grand Slam.
The 21-year-old defeated Renata Zarazua (6-1, 6-2), Maya Joint (3-6, 6-2, 6-0), and Iga Swiatek (7-6(9), 6-2) before bowing to Italy's Jasmine Paolini, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, in the fourth round.
With her breakthrough run, Eala not only further elevated Philippine tennis on the world stage but also earned WTA ranking points and cash prize.
By reaching the Round of 16, world No. 32 Eala earned 240 WTA ranking points.
The WTA rankings are based on a rolling 52-week system, with a player's best 18 singles tournament results counting toward their total ranking points. The number of points awarded depends on the tournament category and how far a player advances.
Eala also took home £300,000 (approximately US$396,100) in prize money for reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon.
Before Wimbledon, Eala had already earned US$871,438 in prize money during the 2026 season, according to the WTA.
The Wimbledon also marked the end of Eala's impressive grass-court season, during which she captured the WTA 125 title in Birmingham and reached the semifinals of the Berlin Tennis Open.
