Magkaibang galaw sa presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo ang aasahan ng mga motorista sa susunod na linggo.

Batay sa galaw ng Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) at average na palitan ng piso kontra dolyar mula Hulyo 6 hanggang 9, 2026, inilahad ng isang source mula sa oil industry ang posibleng maging galaw sa presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo sa susunod na linggo:

  • Diesel — tataas ng P2.00 hanggang P4.00 per liter
  • Gasoline — rollback ng P1.00 o pagtaas ng P1 per liter

"Prior to the latest flare-up in the US-Israeli war with Iran, diesel and middle distillates prices have strengthened on the back of firm demand while supply continues to tighten as physical availability remains constrained. The potential loss of Russian diesel exports is also adding another layer of support as Russia's energy infrastructure continue to sustain damage from intensified Ukrainian drone attacks," ayon sa source.

"Asian gasoline prices have weakened slightly as the regional market remained balance amid ample supplies and steady regional demand. Looking ahead, prices are likely to firm up as balances across global gasoline markets are tightening amid the peak Northern Hemisphere summer demand season and supply constraints due to refinery maintenances and run cuts," dagdag nito.

Inaanunsyo ng mga kumpanya ng langis ang pagbabago sa presyo ng mga produktong petrolyo tuwing Lunes, at ipatutupad naman kinabukasan ng Martes.

Ngayong linggo, nagkaroon ng oil price hike sa mga produktong petrolyo:

  • Gasolina — P45.27 kada litro
  • Diesel — P35.13 kada litro
  • Kerosene — P32.42 kada litro

Ayon pa sa source, sinuportahan ang pagtaas ng presyo ng mga pangyayari noong Hulyo 7, kabilang ang pag-atake ng Iran sa mga barkong dumaraan sa Strait of Hormuz sa labas ng opisyal na rutang inaprubahan, ang kasunod na ganting pag-atake ng Amerika, at ang pagbawi ng US sa mga ipinatupad nitong exemption sa sanctions para sa pag-export ng langis ng Iran.
