Hindi mapigilan ni Christian Bautista na maging emosyonal sa muli niyang pag-renew ng kontrata sa Kapuso Network, na walong taon na niyang tahanan.
"I did realize na VTRs (video tape recorders) really work eh 'no, and it just helped me remember everything that we've been through, we've gone through together from the beginning up to now. And it just got me so emotional again," sabi ni Christian sa Kapuso Showbiz News.
Matapos nito, ilang segundong napatigil si Christian, na tila pinipigilan ang sarili na maluha habang inaalala ang kaniyang mga proyekto sa GMA Network.
"I'm so glad this is not live," biro ni Christian.
"I'm just very thankful... 'Thank you' is being thrown around so flippantly..." sabi ni Christian, bago muling napatigil para kontrolin ang kaniyang emosyon. "But I'm so thankful," kaniyang pagpapatuloy.
Nagbalik-tanaw din si Asia's Romantic Balladeer sa kaniyang 20 taon na sa show business.
"Sometimes you have good years, sometimes you have tough years. Pero you really just have to look inside, look above, see who's still with you, see who's still believing in you. See the people who are still longing for you to create something, and basically kung sino pa 'yung gustong sumama sa'yo sa paglalakbay mo sa journey mo," komento ni Christian.
Inilarawan ni Christian na "challenging, rewarding, fulfilling and very giving" ang kaniyang career kahit na pag-amin niya, hindi niya personal na plano noon ang pumasok sa industriya.
"I'm so grateful and thankful as well na even though this was not part of my personal plan to be in the industry, it was God's pala, so I should continue," sabi niya.
